🎓 Hats Off to the Class of 2025! 🎉
Celebrating Over 700 Graduates Across Van Buren ISD
It’s that time of year again—caps flying, families cheering, and diplomas in hand. This spring, more than 700 high school seniors from across the Van Buren ISD consortium districts crossed the graduation stage with pride and purpose. We also celebrate numerous college graduates, each one proof that dedication and hard work pay off.
Even more impressive is the huge progress we’ve seen in graduation rates among at-risk students—a leap forward from past decades. Programs like credit recovery and tailored academic supports have helped many students earn the credits they need to graduate, showing just how impactful these resources—and the committed educators behind them—really are.
Along the way, our students picked up some life lessons. We asked this year’s graduates to share their best advice with younger classmates, and here’s what they had to say:

🎓 10 Pieces of Real Advice from the Class of 2025:
-
“Don’t fall behind on credits—it’s a lot harder to catch up later.”
Stay on top of your classes and talk to your counselor early if you’re struggling. -
“Seriously… do your homework.”
It’s not just busywork. It actually helps when test time comes around. -
“Join something—anything!”
Sports, clubs, band, robotics… Getting involved makes school more fun and helps you make friends. -
“Be cool with your teachers—they’ll help you more than you think.”
Showing respect goes a long way, and they’ll remember that when you need extra help. -
“Try not to compare yourself to everyone else.”
Everyone’s path is different. Go at your own pace and focus on your goals. -
“Use your school resources.”
Free tutoring, chromebooks, even food and clothes—your school has more support than you realize. -
“Don’t ghost your future self.”
Slacking off might feel easy now, but it can mess up your senior year. Stay on it. -
“Learn how to manage your time—like, for real.”
Between school, work, and life, a calendar app or planner will save your life. -
“Speak up when you need help.”
It’s not weak—it’s smart. Teachers, counselors, and friends actually want to help you succeed. -
“Celebrate your small wins.”
Passed a test? Got a C up to a B? Showed up every day this week? That matters.
To all our 2025 graduates: We are so proud of your hard work, perseverance, and growth. You’ve inspired us all—especially the students coming up behind you.
Whether you’re heading to college, a job, the military, or a new adventure, remember: you’ve already proven you can do hard things. The future is yours.
